The Department of Governance at The CMM is responsible for advocating for and empowering The CMM’s member communities to respond to legislative change and the structural reform of several Federal and Provincial mandates. The department reviews how these changes will impact our communities and identifies capacity gaps and training needs as they work to fill The CMM’s mission. Governance oversees programs and projects such as Education, Membership, Elections, Specific Claims, The Tripartite Forum, Privacy, Bylaws, Wills & Estates and the Mi’kmaw Data Hub.
