First Nations Estates Services
Services to help you manage the affairs of: a minor, or a dependent adult who usually lives on a reserve or a deceased family member or friend who usually lived on a reserve Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) is responsible for estate services in all provinces. Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) is responsible for estate services in the Yukon and Northwest Territories.
Mi’kmaw Archaeological Protocols – Kwilmu’kw Maw-Klusuaqn
Kwilmu'kw Maw-Klusuaqn's Archaeology Research Division (ARD) mandated with the protection of archaeological resources and burials by the Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Chiefs, has been a fixture since the inception of Kwilmu'kw Maw-Klusuaqn (KMK).
It's activities and reach have expanded in response to growing relationships and demands on the Assembly, the Rights Implementation Team and the Consultation Department, and the ARD is heavily involved with the consultation process. The ARD continues to support the Rights Implementation Team through archaeological research, landscape research and policy-related initiatives and Assembly supports.
This resource contains supporting documents including Mi'kmaw Archaeological Protocols, Principles of Mi'kmaw Ancestral Remains Protocols, a Statement of Principles Regarding Archaeological Resources and the Culture, Heritage and Archaeology Strategic Plan/ Keknue’k Kisutasik.
