The Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq supports the communities of Annapolis Valley First Nation, Bear River First Nation, Glooscap First Nation, and Pictou Landing First Nation in the administration and oversight of the Post-Secondary Student Support Program. The program provides financial support to eligible students from the aforementioned communities as they pursue post-secondary education to build skills and careers that benefit their communities and support Mi’kmaq self-governance and self-reliance.
The Education Advisor sits on committees and working groups with the province, Mi’kmaq Education authorities, and post-secondary institutions to advocate for the needs of current and emerging students, address education gaps and community needs, and provide guidance and navigation support for funded students.
Funding applications for the PSSSP are due on June 15th at 4 pm. All applications can be emailed to the Education Advisor, Audriana Paul, at apaul@cmmns.com, or mailed to our office at 52 Legends Avenue.
