Mi’kmaw Archaeological Protocols – Kwilmu’kw Maw-Klusuaqn
Kwilmu'kw Maw-Klusuaqn's Archaeology Research Division (ARD) mandated with the protection of archaeological resources and burials by the Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Chiefs, has been a fixture since the inception of Kwilmu'kw Maw-Klusuaqn (KMK).
It's activities and reach have expanded in response to growing relationships and demands on the Assembly, the Rights Implementation Team and the Consultation Department, and the ARD is heavily involved with the consultation process. The ARD continues to support the Rights Implementation Team through archaeological research, landscape research and policy-related initiatives and Assembly supports.
