Maryann has moved into the position of Senior Director of Community Services & Infrastructure. This department includes, but is not limited to: Community Infrastructure, Emergency Management, Mi’kmawey Green Communities and more.
Maryann hold a Masters in Architecture, Bachelors of Environmental Design, and a Masters Certificate in Project Management. Her experience includes over 20 years as a Design Team Leader, Senior Project Manager and Manager of Accessibility for the Province of Nova Scotia and the Capital District Health Authority delivering major capital infrastructure.
A continuous learner, in 2019 she completed courses in Contract Law, Clear Leadership and an Introduction to Building Information Modelling Systems.
Most recently, Maryann returned from working in BC as the Manager of Capital Projects for the health authority with direct purview over 6 major hospital sites responsible for acute care renovations and new construction projects in excess of $118M.
Previously her time was spent hiking with her dog however, he recently moved on to greener pastures. Maryann is currently attempting to learn tennis and marking the calendar waiting for grandkids!
